Amazing Grace (with Soprano)

Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound,
That saved a wretch like me.

Amazing Grace has been among the most beloved melodies in American culture since John Newton wrote it in 1772. Our arrangement is simple, calming and lush. The solo part can be sung, or performed by violin, viola, or cello. This would be an ideal piece for a memorial concert.

Description: This arrangement begins with a brief orchestral introduction, then a prayerfully quiet first chorus of Amazing Grace begins with just harp accompaniment at first. The second chorus is underscored with a rich string accompaniment. In the third chorus, the orchestra plays the melody, with a key change halfway through. The soloist sings the final chorus, and the song ends with a gentle prayer.
