Always

Irving Berlin wrote Always as a wedding gift for his fiance, Ellin.
“I’ll be loving you always.”

In the verse out front of Always, Berlin wrote a phrase that sounds very similar to The Bride’s Waltz, a traditional klezmer piece performed at weddings. Did Irving hide an “Easter Egg” in this wedding gift to his wife? We think he did, so this lush arrangement embraces Berlin’s klezmer harmonies and melodies.
